Brazilian Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Historic Launch in North Central Florida

Regional, civic, and diplomatic leaders joined the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce for a landmark ribbon-cutting that launched a new platform for entrepreneurship, connection, and bilateral trade across North Central Florida.

Marking a historic milestone for the regional business ecosystem, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce officially cut the ribbon on Friday, August 14, 2026, celebrating the launch of an organized, dynamic platform dedicated to strengthening ties between Brazilian entrepreneurs, local industries, and international commerce across North Central Florida.

The inaugural event gathered prominent civic, regional, and diplomatic leaders, underscoring the growing economic influence and cohesion of the Brazilian community throughout the region. Distinguished guests in attendance included Ambassador João Lucas Quental, serving as Honorary President of the Chamber; Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward; and former Gainesville Mayor Lauren Poe, currently CEO of the Greater Gainesville International Center.

Led by Rodrigo Martinson (President) and Wanderlei Guimarães (Vice President), the Chamber’s executive leadership emphasized that the Brazilian business community across North Central Florida is organized, robust, and positioned to drive tangible positive impact through high-value business intelligence, practical workshops, and cross-sector networking.
